Juria Yoshikawa considers her kinetic installation "I'm not here" an immersive situation to enhance people's experience in Second Life through color, light, motion, audio and avatar animation.
Juria asks, "What does being here as avatars really mean?"
Audiences will enter two huge light sculptures in which they can explore, ponder, and discover new associations with the art. There are also audio samples of voices embedded in the sculptures throughout the space that get triggered when people walk through them, creating a room size musical instrument.
For the best viewing results environmental settings should be set to midnight and audio should be turned on.
